Mapping the Right: Anti-Abortion Movement Database
Database of organizational and financial data of the U.S. anti-abortion movement.
Mapping the Right is a project from Radical Reports to create searchable databases, interactive tools, and other research resources for understanding the landscape of the U.S. Right.
The U.S. anti-abortion movement is a dynamic and complex coalition of groups that form the organized opposition to sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and individually these groups represent assorted constituencies and have various amounts of influence on politics and policies.
There are different policy priorities among the groups within the anti-abortion movement, and while there are divisions within the movement concerning strategies and tactics as well as political ideology and religious theology—the anti-abortion movement has remained united behind a singular goal: overturning of Roe v. Wade
During 2019, anti-abortion organizations reported a total revenue of more than $135 million, according to the tax records. The anti-abortion organization that reported the most revenue included the Human Coalition ($16.1 million), Students for Life ($12.2 million), and Susan B. Anthony List ($11 million).
The Radical Reports Ant-Abortion Movement Database (DropBox) provides a comprehensive listing of organizations, businesses, and networks that comprise the U.S. anti-abortion movement, and allows you to sort organizations by name, category, affiliations, and location.
The database will be updated on a regular basis, and the information in the database will be expanded to include campaign finance data, government and foundation funding, and individual connections and networks.
