This week, Radical Reports reach a milestone: 5,000 total subscribers. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed this newsletter, who have found the research and reporting valuable.
This has been a journey that began as project to record and publish the activities of the far right in the months follow the January 6th Insurrection, and has since become project that I believe has the potential to make a significant impact.
As the number of total subscribers has increased, I have spent time thinking about the future of this newsletter. However, before I share my visions for the future of the newsletter, I need to ask for your help in making that vision a reality.
Help me reach another milestone, and contribute to a sustainable future for this newsletter.
First of all, thank you to everyone who has found this newsletter valuable enough to provide financial support by becoming a paid subscriber. Some of you have been a paid subscriber since the newsletter first launched, and some of you have only recently become a paid subscriber.
Regardless of when you become a paid subscriber, whether you are founding member or a monthly or yearly paid subscriber, or whether you have previously take advantage of a promotional discount to become a paid subscriber ― I deeply appreciate every dollar of your support.
Let’s dig into the numbers. Of the five thousand total subscribers to this newsletter, there are currently 193 paid subscribers — which represents approximately 3.8% of the total number subscribers. According to the reported and publicly available data, the percentage of paid subscribers for Substack newsletters is 5-10% of total subscribers.
My goal is to at least double the percentage of paid subscribers, with the hope of the increasing the number of paid subscribers to 10% of the total number of subscribers.
If only 1 out of every 16 subscribers to this newsletter upgraded to a paid subscription, that would provide a significant and meaningful step towards making this newsletter a financial sustainable project.
If you help me reach 500 paid subscribers, then I could significantly increase the average number of weekly posts, publish more in-depth investigations into the far right, and even produce other types of content such as podcasts.
