How to Navigate the Map
Color Coding
The various elements and connections of the network map are color coded to easily identify specific networks or categories of individuals. Individuals that are alleged to have participated in the Capitol Riot that are military veterans are highlighted in green, and individuals that were affiliated with local law enforcement agencies are highlighted in blue. Extremists networks, such as the Proud Boys, are highlighted in red, and conspiracy networks, such as QAnon, are highlighted in purple. Individuals that were arrested and charged with illegal gun possession or other weapons charges are highlighted in orange.
Selecting, Highlighting, and Tags
Select an element by clicking on the element, and this will provide information about and individual, organization, or network. If you move the curse over an element without clicking on the element, the network will highlight all of the associated connections and networks. Each element and connection is organized with tags, and you can select individual tags to view various categories such as the state of residence of each of the individuals alleged to have participated in the Capitol Riot.
Focus Tool
Selecting an element will provide information about and individual, organization, or network. By using the focus tool, you can zoom-in on a specific network or connected individuals, and use the tags to further focus on specific categories (such as the states of residence, guilty pleas, or military veterans).
