Capitol Riot Map Updates: 'Are you bringing heat?'
Recent updates to the Capitol Riot Map include an alleged rioter who when asked if he was 'bringing heat' responded: 'Yeah brother... Where each bullet lands is my fault and mine alone.'
Willard Purkel and Colby Purkel “allegedly pushed past Capitol police to force their way into the Capitol through the East Rotunda doors,” and federal law enforcement reportedly “subpoenaed the Purkels’ cellphone data to track their movements through the Capitol.” David Paul Daniel allegedly “lead rioters to force open the Senate Wing doors,” was reportedly “ultimately done in by his choice of headwear.”
Ryan Joseph Orlando allegedly took a “pen from the desk of Sen. Susan Collins,” as well as a “drink coaster from the desk of Sen. Joe Manchin.” Daniel Tocci allegedly “assisted other rioters climb the outer wall of the northwest staircase and reach the Upper West Terrace, where the crowd broke into the building through a door known as the Senate Wing Door.”
Theo Hanson was “arrested on suspicion of felony obstruction of an official proceeding and felony civil disorder.” Hanson was a member of the California Patriot-DC Brigade, a channel on Telegram used by several other alleged rioters including members of the far right militia group the Three Percenters. When asked by member of the Telegram channel if he was “bringing heat,” Hanson responded: “Yeah brother. I am bringing a few compacts and an AR dragon. I look at them as peacekeepers and of a ‘last resort’ of sorts. Once they come out, that genie doesn’t go back in the bottle.”
