Big Lie in Big D: GOP Lawmakers Who Voted to Overturn the Election Dominate CPAC Texas
The CPAC conference in Dallas, Texas features more than two dozen Congressional Republicans who voted against certifying the results of the 2020 election.
The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the conservative political conference sponsored by the American Conservative Union, is hosting an event in Dallas, Texas: America UnCanceled in Texas.
Former President Donald Trump will be returning to Texas to speak at the event, and the former president’s false claims about the 2020 elections continue to be an animating force within the conservative movement.
Several current and former Republican lawmakers are scheduled to speak or participate in panel discussions, and nearly all of these lawmakers have directly or indirectly endorsed the false claims about the 2020 elections.
CPAC Texas will feature 28 members of Congress who voted to overturn the 2020 election after the January 6th Capitol insurrection:
