Stewart Rhodes, founder and former leader of the far right militia group the Oath Keepers, is planning to get the organization “back up and running.” Rhodes has been waiting to relaunch the militia group until he is granted a pardon for his convictions for seditious conspiracy and evidence tampering related to his participation in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Rhodes received a commutation from President Donald Trump, and has been publicly lobbying for a full pardon. Rhodes also suggested his pardon request may be viewed favorably Trump’s pardon attorney Ed Martin, who “personally reviewed a pardon application” for Rhodes.

During a recent interview, Rhodes spoke approvingly of Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to Los Angeles, California and Washington, D.C. and Trump’s deployment of the military along the U.S.-Mexico border. Rhodes said that Trump “should call us all up,” suggesting the president should create a government sectioned militia, because “we are obviously facing an invasion… the border has been intentionally left open by domestic internal enemies — traitors.”

“He should have the military defend the border, he should invoke the Insurrection Act, and he should call us all up,” Rhodes said. “He should call all of us, every able bodied male in this nation… could be called up as the militia.”

This summer, Rhodes has been on a speaking tour around Texas with True Texas Project, a far right Christian nationalist group. Rhodes has previously spoken at five events sponsored by True Texas Project, and is scheduled to speak at upcoming events in Katy and Tomball.

Rhodes has also spoken at other events throughout Texas, including events sponsored by the Lee County Republican Party, Bowie County Patriots, Central Texas Tea Party, and Dallas Chapter of the John Birch Society. Rhodes also recently attended the 90th birthday party of former Congressman Ron Paul — and posed for a photo with pardoned Capitol Rioter Jennifer Heinl.

Pardoned Capitol Rioters were reportedly “recruited to help the Texas Hill Country” after the flooding, including Rhodes — who said that he was joined by Larry Brock, retired U.S. Air Force officer who “dressed in combat gear and carried zip-tie handcuffs” in to the U.S. Capitol building.

E.J. Antoni, who was recently nominated by President Donald Trump to be the Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, was reportedly “among the crowd outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021,” and the White House claims that Antoni was a "bystander" – and that Antoni “wandered over after seeing coverage on the news.”

Members of the Seattle Police Department that attended the “Stop the Steal” rally prior to the attack on the U.S. Capitol building on January 6, 2021 reportedly said during interviews the Office of Police Accountability (OPA) that “they didn't see anything out of place,” and that “they were unaware of any illegal activity.”

Several Capitol Rioters that were pardoned by President Donald Trump continue to face legal consequences for additional crimes — related and unrelated to their participation in the Capitol Riot. Trump has effectively “let a bunch of criminals, including felons convicted of violent crimes, back out onto American streets.”

At least 20 pardoned Capitol Rioters have been arrested or faced additional criminal charges since receiving pardons from Donald Trump, or have faced additional legal consequences for their actions after participating in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Kyle Travis Colton, who was arrested and charged for participating in the Capitol Riot, was convicted of possessing child pornography, after federal prosecutors present evidence to the jury that Colton possessed “copious images and videos depicting the graphic sexual abuse of young children.”

Joshua Atwood, who was arrested and charged for “assaulting officers during the attack on the U.S. Capitol,” has reportedly “self-reported to Northern Regional Jail, where he will serve six months as part of a May plea deal for stabbing a Chester restaurant owner in 2024,” and Atwood is also “scheduled to reappear in court for consideration to credit of his time spent in federal custody as well.”

U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden has “rejected the request to eradicate the record” of Matthew Martin, who was previously found “not guilty of multiple misdemeanor counts” related to his participation in the Capitol Riot.

Jared Lane Wise, a former FBI agent who was charged for participating in the Capitol Riot, is now reportedly working as an adviser to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) pardon attorney Ed Martin, who is overseeing the DOJ’s so-called “weaponization working group.” The appointment of Wise means that a man who “urged violence against police officers” is now “responsible for the department’s official effort to exact revenge against those who had tried to hold the rioters accountable.”

During his trial, Wise reportedly testified that he believed at the time – and still believes now – that police were using unnecessary and potentially dangerous force on rioters: “I’ll be frank with you. I think I would have been authorized. If I’d been further up near the guys with the batons I think I would have been justified in stopping them.”

Andrew Floyd, one of three prosecutors involved in investigating the Capitol Riot that were fired by Attorney General Pam Bondi, apparently “has no regrets about his time at the Justice Department.” In a letter to colleagues, Floyd wrote that “I know from my communications with you over the years that the people in this building do not keep quiet and are not timid,” and “although I can no longer join you, I’ll be on the sidelines cheering you on.”

Judge Jia Cobb for the US District Court for the District of Columbia has “dismissed a lawsuit filed by FBI agents seeking to prevent the Justice Department from disclosing the identities of those who worked on investigations into the January 6 attack against the US Capitol,” and Cobb ruled that the “agents and the FBI Agents Association lacked standing to challenge potential disclosure of their identities or First Amendment retaliation claims.”

The four Seattle police officers who attended the “Stop the Steal” rally at the U.S. Capitol prior to the Capitol Riot, have reportedly “dropped a lawsuit to prevent the release of their names,” and as a result “their names could soon be made public.”

The U.S. Department Justice (DOJ) reportedly “fired at least three prosecutors involved in U.S. Capitol riot criminal cases,” as prosecutors received a notification that they were “removed from federal service effective immediately.”

Greg Rosen, the former chief of the Capitol Siege Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, recently said that “the underlying message of the pardons and the expressive nature of the pardons is that political violence is acceptable, particularly if it’s done for a specific purpose.”

A federal jury “awarded $500,000 to the widow and estate of a police officer who died by suicide nine days after he helped defend the U.S. Capitol from a mob of rioters,” and the jury directed David Walls-Kaufman, a pardoned Capitol Rioter who assaulted the officer, to pay “$380,000 in punitive damages and $60,000 in compensatory damages for the assault on her husband on that day.”

However, the judge presiding over the civil trial dismissed the “wrongful-death claim against Walls-Kaufman before jurors began deliberating,” and claimed that “no reasonable juror could conclude that Walls-Kaufman’s actions were capable of causing a traumatic brain injury.”

John Earle Sullivan, who was convicted and sentenced to 72-months in prison for participating in the Capitol Riot, is reportedly “seeking to recover forfeited money related to his filming of scenes inside the U.S. Capitol,” however, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth denied Sullivan's request and “ordered the government not to give him the funds unless Congress goes through an appropriation process.”

Kyle Travis Colton, pardoned Capitol Rioter who was also charged for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), argued in court filings that “the investigation that led to his child pornography charge was inextricably tied up in the Jan. 6 case against him,” however, the DOJ stated in court filings that Trump’s pardon “does not cover his charge of receiving child pornography.”

Hector Vargas Santos, a former U.S. Marine who was convicted and sentenced to 4-months in prison for participating in the Capitol Riot, argued in court filings that he should be repaid the more than $2,000 fines and restitution he paid after his Capitol riot conviction — however, a federal judge ruled that a “pardon does not make one's conviction or the exaction of monetary penalties ‘erroneous.’”

Taylor Taranto, a military veteran and pardoned Capitol Rioter, was convicted by a federal judge on charges of “making a false threat toward a government facility in Maryland and unlawfully possessing firearms and ammo,” however, the judge also “delayed setting a sentencing date and instead directed prosecutors to swiftly respond to an anticipated motion from Taranto's attorneys seeking his release.”
